About Us
elementalClinic is an open source EMR with roots going back to 2002. In 2005, emC and its project lead, Randall Hansen, joined open source software company OpenSourcery in Portland, Oregon, which now maintains and develops the application. We have dedicated thousands of development hours to the application with the ultimate goal of helping mental health clinics benefit from a world-class EMR they can afford. Simply put, emC exists because mental health care providers deserve software that serves patients - not software companies.
Randall Hansen assumed the role of emC project lead and codebase maintainer in 2004. Owing to a strong belief in the power of open source software, Randall and others have made significant personal sacrifices to keep the project on track.
Today, emC allows clinicians and patients to benefit from powerful, customizable EMR software that would otherwise be unattainable. We stand behind our software with 100% conviction and dedication, which is why we'd like to introduce ourselves to you and your clinic.
